"The study aimed to explore the factors influencing confidence in the employment readiness of TVL-HE graduates. Qualitative research was conducted to generate a representative pool of items for a standard-based quantitative measurement anchored on people's experiences involved in employment. The researcher adapted the qualitative-descriptive design using qualitative informants and quantitative respondents. The 34 initial pool of items was developed based on the informants’ responses, qualitative data analysis, and item selection criteria. It was validated across various disciplines in a sample of 170 graduates. A four-factor solution was supported by exploratory factor analyses, with the final items consisting of 31 statements. The four variables explained 69.716 percent of the cumulative variance, showed excellent reliability, and were labeled Interpersonal Intelligence, and Workplace Awareness. positive attitude, and Technical competence. The findings indicate that these factors influence TVL-HE graduates' confidence in employment readiness. A psychometrician was consulted to attest
to the psychometric properties of the developed tool. the study unravels some areas in the possible improvements of the employment readiness of TLE-HE graduates to ramp up the opportunity of achieving the objectives of AV work-ready graduates. Author's abstract."
