Similar to humans, animals need monitoring when they are unwell. Veterinary clinics manage
animal records and billing invoices for every pet owner. This study focused on the development
and evaluation of a Web-based Cat and Dog Health Monitoring and Billing System designed to
enhance veterinary care and operational efficiency. The Cat and Dog Health Monitoring and
Billing System (CDHMBS) features appointment scheduling, daily appointment reports, invoice
billing, medical history reports, online payments, and it complies with ISO 25010 standards. To
develop the CDHMBS, the researchers used HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP, phpMyAdmin for
database, and XAMPP. The system supports four user types: admin, doctor, staff, and pet owner,
with use-case diagrams defining the scope and limitations for each account. Through descriptive
research techniques, and a total of 34 client interviews, the researchers identified key challenges
and requirements to develop a platform tailored to the needs of veterinary clinics and pet owners.
The CDHMBS successfully implemented the necessary features: daily appointment reports
provide admins with an overview of appointments, staff can generate, and pet owners can access
invoice billings, pet owners can view their pets' medical histories, and process payments online.
Recommendations for further improvements include enhancing the design for non-tech-savvy
users, accommodating different appointment types, expanding the scope for each account, offering
online consultations, and adding chat support.
