This study tackles the issue of coolant filtration in engine systems, identifying a crucial
gap that negatively impacts engine performance and durability. The coolant filter's
primary goal is to improve engine coolant's filtration efficiency, minimizing the effects
caused by contaminants, debris, and impurities circulating within the cooling system. By
incorporating filtration technologies, the prototype strives to achieve performance while
prolonging the lifespan of the coolant and the engine components. Several tests were
done to assess the effectiveness of the coolant filter. This includes pressure testing,
temperature testing, and filtration testing. Test results show that the temperature testing
indicates that in 3 and 6 hours of driving, the temperature reading is 89 °C, while the 12
hours of driving increases to 91°C. Pressure testing for the first 3 hours and 6 hours
measures about 13psi, which still normal for the pressure of a cooling system, and the 12
hours increases up to 16psi due to the increases of temperature, and filtration testing
showed substances that coolant filtered a substance of aluminum with an amount of 46.7
mg/L, Copper with an amount of 4.53 mg/L, and Iron with 168 mg/L this means the filter
filtered a substance that can affect the cooling system. The successful outcomes of testing
and evaluation demonstrate how this innovation can positively influence the automotive
industry by promoting sustainability and efficiency regarding the filtration of the cooling
system. The comprehensive evaluations focusing on workability, durability, functionality,
safety, aesthetics, and economy evaluation resulted with an overall mean of 4.33.
