The Study, Development of Vertical Axis Wind turbine, aimed to produce a hybrid renewable
energy that would run an appliance that is limited only to 35 watts and to determine its
efficiency to generate and produce electricity that can help the betterment of the environment.
The two sources of hybrid renewable energy will mainly from the solar panel and wind turbine
which would be efficient in both places whether it is co-efficient with solar or wind type of
energy source. There are different categories used in evaluating the project design such as,
Functionality, workability, durability, aesthetics and safety. The mean result of the evaluation
is from the 5 experts on the field of Air Conditioning and 25HVAC students (N=30), each of
the evaluation category are presented as follows: Functionality: 4.57, Workability: 4.49,
Durability: 4.37, Aesthetics: 4.52, Safety: 4.52 and an overall mean of 4.49. Workability was
outlined as having the capacity to generate electricity, having access to technical knowledge,
and having technical components that could be worked on. Functionality, usability, comfort,
and convenience of the prototype were considered to be its functional attributes. The project's
lifetime, the precision of the joints and other parts, rigidity, and capacity for long-term use are
all included in its durability. Aesthetics includes things like how the design looks, how
neatly the edges are polished, and how well the sample is exhibited and safety including the
safety features and the available safety handbook, was also considered. From the following
Project testing and Evaluation, the recommendations were derived. Develop a DC Generator
that is capable of producing high amounts of watts. Develop a GFCI Outlet that is capable in
plugging more than two appliances at the same time Improve the project in order to run power
tools and other appliances that requires high amount of Wattage to operate.
