Begun on March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the coronavirus devastated the
world. To protect the populace from infection, the experts taught the public to wash hands,
clean the surface they use or encounter and to maintain social distancing. The airborne
capabilities of the virus were not discussed as much. While there are products that are
available in the market for air freshening, there are few commercially available products
that focuses on air sanitizing. Those products that are available for sanitation are expensive
and causes environmental wastes. This project has both health and economic goals. The
health goals are to kill the viruses that have stuck to the surface like walls, tables, chairs,
etc. Specifically, its goal is to kill airborne viruses. The economic goals are to underscore
the cost savings that this project will provide. The prototype is made of a car kit module,
trailer, and spray bottle. It is controlled wirelessly by a remote. Various household
chemicals were tested and the spray results into a mist. Twenty participants evaluated the
prototype. With an overall mean of 4.52 and descriptive rating of “Excellent” or “Highly
Acceptable.” This signifies that the prototype is useful in disinfecting the airborne viruses.
