This study, titled "Development of Portable Fan Cap Using Solar Power," aimed to design
and evaluate a solar-powered, portable fan cap to enhance comfort for individuals,
particularly farmers, working under intense sunlight. Farmers who spend prolonged hours
outdoors face discomfort and health risks due to excessive heat and solar exposure.
Conventional air-conditioning systems are impractical outdoors, and portable cooling
devices often consume significant energy and contribute to environmental concerns. This
research addresses these issues by developing a sustainable, energy-efficient solution. The
portable fan cap integrates a solar panel, fan, and battery into lightweight, ergonomically
designed headwear. The solar panel harnesses sunlight to power the fan, eliminating
dependency on conventional power sources. Testing involved analyzing the device's
performance under various conditions and measuring voltage, current, and power output
over time. Results indicated that the cap consistently generated sufficient power, reaching
a maximum of 1.64W after 50 minutes of sunlight exposure. The study successfully

achieved its objectives, which included designing a cost-effective, renewable, energy-
powered fan cap capable of providing fresh air and comfort. The findings demonstrated the

viability of solar energy as a practical energy source for personal cooling devices. While
efficient under direct sunlight, limitations such as weight, durability, and reduced
performance in low-light conditions were identified. This innovative project contributes to
sustainable energy practices and offers a practical, low-cost solution for outdoor workers,
particularly farmers, enhancing their productivity and well-being in challenging
environments.
