Agriculture plays a vital role here in the Philippines because of the geographical
location but due to the progress in industrialization, farming is being taken for granted.
Moreover, food is a major necessity thus we cannot afford to lose crops because of drought.
However we cannot avoid a natural phenomenon hence to prevent this scenario from
happening, the proponents developed an irrigation system that supplies water specifically
for a corn, monggo and grain farm in Marilao, Bulacan where the recipient of the prototype
is located. Researchers underwent through design and fabrication. With this, the project
would provide a waterwheel pump machine to collect water from river, a drum for storage,
and a drip lines linked for the irrigation system. The result of the study is remarkable. The
prototype benefited the end-user to supply enough water to their crops. In addition, workers
do not need to water their crops manually hence it is lesser effort in their part. To conclude,
the study became effective in providing solution with the aid of the prototype and may be
used as a reference in future innovations.
