The traditional way of buying over-the-counter medicines and topical treatments often

leads to long waits and visiting physical stores. This can be quite inconvenient and time-
consuming for those needing quick access to essential health products like liniment and

ointment. The project aimed to design, fabricate, test, and evaluate a Liniment/Ointment
Vending Machine specifically for the TUP Manila campus. The Development of a
Liniment/Ointment Vending Machine for TUP Manila Campus aims to provide a quick,
effective, and readily available solution for staff, instructors, and students in need of

liniments or ointments. This vending machine is designed to be user-friendly, cost-
efficient, and easy to operate. By placing an automatic feature in the purchasing process,

this will save time and effort for an individual to purchase, enabling them to quickly
retrieve products without having to leave the campus or queue a long line in the store. The
prototype was evaluated by 50 participants from the TUP Manila Campus. Evaluation
criteria included functionality, workability, safety, aesthetics, and economy, which
resulted in an impressive overall mean score of 4.59, categorized as "Highly Acceptable".
From the findings of this evaluation, this project has the potential to enhance efficiency
for those at the TUP Manila Campus by providing a vending machine option instead of
waiting in line at traditional pharmacies.
