This study aims the design and development of a Portable Business Stall with
single-person assembly and disassembly to address portability, setup time, and user
accessibility issues for micro-entrepreneurs. The main objective is to design a stall that is
light, durable, and easy to assemble or disassemble by a single person wherein aluminum
is used as the main material, and the overall weight of the stall is less than 60 kg. The
design has fold and locking mechanisms for enhancing portability and reducing time of
assembly. The design was evaluated with different tests, such as load capacity, stability,
durability, foldability, and time efficiency. The study proved the ability to support a 100 kg
load and could be assembled and disassembled within less than ten minutes by one person
without tools. According to the results of the tests conducted, the stall attained the intended
design specifications and performed as intended by the set objectives during development.
The outcomes of the present study are highly likely to serve as a basis for future
improvement of stall design tailored to small-scale business undertakings.
