Summary, etc. The researchers conduct a study to design and develop an acceptable mobile robot that can help ease the search and rescue operations done by the nation's emergency response unit and by a ordinary Filipino was made to determine its acceptability. Locally available materials made in fabrications. Carbon fiber used as the main material for the mobile robot which is known to adapt disastrous and catastrophic environment and is fire-retardant, water-resistant and fatigue resistant. A mobile robot, but this time programmed with the single board computer called the Raspberry Pi. The acceptability of the Direct Intelligence Search and Scan Technology Emergency Response as a mobile robot used for surveillance of the virgin search area was evaluated by 50 respondents composed of 20 Students, 15 Professors from the Technological University of the Philippines and 15 Firefighters. The evaluation was conducted using the researcher designed instrument comprising of Six (6) Criteria: Functionality, Aesthetics, Cost, Safety, Workability and Durability. After being evaluated, the project garnered an overall rating of .30 which indicates that the D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. Bot's Acceptability is Very Good and is an effective tool that would help lessen the risk of the rescuers and lessen the time the rescuer would take in search of survivors during search-and-rescue operations. The researchers, therefore, conclude that the Direct Intelligence Search and Scan Technology Emergency Response - D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. Bot to be very effective in initiating a safer and efficient search-and-rescue operation. -- Author's Abstract.
