| Summary, etc. | Studies conducted in academe-industry partnership have found key factors that influence and hamper its implementation. Identifying the barriers of partnership and determining the differences in goals and objectives are among the dynamic concerns found. For these reasons the researcher was motivated to explore the academe-industry partnership engagement of Mariano Marcos State University. The results of the study were employed and introduced in the development of academe-industry partnership framework which is the main objective of this paper. This study utilized a qualitative research methodology and followed the grounded theory approach that is anchored on the constructivist paradigm. The very reason for utilizing this methodology is to further understand the underlying meaning of the lived experience of the people involved. And based from the literatures and related studies, the researcher have found justifiable reasons to adapt the research procedure. It was found out in the study that the length of time being involved in the partnership engagement has relevance on the enrichment of their experiences that has direct influence in the performance of their duties. It has also been observed that the goals and objectives of the partnership engagements has been achieved. However, such difficulties and obstacles have been identified during the implementation of the partnership engagement. The strategies and approaches that were employed were found to be effective and such approach has been done in accordance with what has been stipulated in the partnership documents. Such concerns and issues have been determined by the respondents and provide basis for the researcher to conceptualize the emerging theories. As a result, the TED triangle, GoPRO cycle and C-D parallelism have emerged. The TED triangle focused on personnel management while the GoPRO cycle focused on the partnership process. The C-D parallelism was also introduced to provide deeper understanding of the partnership engagement. The theories and concepts that emerged in this study have been introduced in the development of the academe-industry partnership framework. The developed framework, however, is open for suggestions and recommendations for its improvement-Author's Abstract. |
