Summary, etc. Corn is one of the most cultivated food crops in the Philippines. It has been a customary staple food for Filipino families, so it is apparent that corn production is of high demand in the market. However, local farmers claim that supplying corn most regularly is a difficult task because producing corn requires a lot of work time -the planting process in itself is extensive and time-consuming. In response to this problem, this study is developed as an attempt to accelerate corn planting through a mechanized two-row corn seed planter. This machine, in general, can do three planting functions simultaneously: (1) furrowing, (2) seed dropping, and (3) partially covering the seeds with soil. These functions, as well as the inclusion of an engine for mobility, make corn planting significantly faster and more precise. The design of the machine includes a seed meter, a furrower, a handle control, and a chassis, and it is powered by a 6.5 HP gasoline engine. The furrower digs and creates shallow trenches on the soil, the seed meter drops corn seeds into the trenches, and the furrower partially covers the seeds. This machine can plant a hectare of land in just approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is relatively faster than manual corn planting; thus, this is one step towards increasing the efficiency of corn production, which will help Philippine farmers plant corn with speed and precision.
