Summary, etc. The Prototype IRIS: Interior Rover in Search and Surveillance is a study focused on creating a device to aid disaster search and rescue operations. The study's primary objective was the development of a rover with the capability for human detection and 3D room scan visualization. Additionally, the rover will have two primary modes of function: manual and auto, which were connected to the operator via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The room scan visualization was done using an Arduino Uno and the mounted lidar sensor that sends data to the visualization interface of Processing. The human detection system comprised a Raspberry Pi Zero and its accompanying PiCamera. The live video feed was then fed to the operator's device for human detection using the created YoloV3-tiny model.<br/>Furthermore, multiple tests were conducted on each module and separate simulated tests for its overall functionality to measure the IRIS Rover acceptability. Maneuverability tests, Lidar Visualization, and Human detect tests were conducted to further test the IRIS Rover's capability. In conclusion, the study successfully designed the Prototype IRIS Rover that can be used for search and surveillance operations, creating the user interfaces for viewing the human detection system through a web browser and the visualization interface from Processing. Furthermore, each conducted acceptability test resulted in "Highly Acceptable," which was evaluated by thirty (30) respondents. Overall, the Prototype IRIS was deemed effective as a preproduction prototype aimed to help in disaster search and rescue operations.--Author's Abstract.
