The study is based on the previous study "Plug N' Print", which is a coin-operated embedded system for document printing. The objective of the study is to augment features that the previous system did not have such as notifying the owners of the project if there are problems such as the lack of ink, paper, and coins that are used for change. Logs or History that shows all the transactions happened on the machine and lastly, a sorted coin change storage. The system was developed using the combination of hardware and software components. The hardware components include Raspberry Pi, Arduino Uno, GSM Module, Servo Motor, Light Dependent Resistor, Coin Acceptor, and an inkjet printer. The software components C++ Programming Language, Java Programming Language, Arduino IDE, Netbeans IDE, and various application interface such as LibreOffice and GhostScript. The system was evaluated using the TUP Evaluation instrument for prototype developed and the chosen respondents for the evaluation were composed of employees and students of Technological University of the Philippines. Based on the results of the evaluation, the developed system is "Highly Acceptable".--Author's Abstract. |
