ASPIS (Auto Spare Parts Sales and Inventory System) is a responsive web-based application designed to streamline spare parts management in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) automotive workshops in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The system offers specific functionalities for sales, inventory management, and related processes, enabling efficient operations in SME auto workshops. Developed specifically for Luxurion Auto Service Centre in the UAE, ASPIS features a business analytics dashboard with critical stock level notifications, job card creation, and a comprehensive parts catalogue for seamless parts releasing. The system allows for effective supplier management, including the ability to add, edit, and delete supplier records, as well as complete control over spare parts stocks through stock information management. ASPIS provides users with access to a master record of spare parts delivery, empowering them to search for items and generate inventory reports. It also facilitates the viewing of sales and invoice information, enabling the generation of sales reports and proforma invoices, which can be conveniently printed as PDF files. Built using Angular, Java, Jasper Report, Spring Boot, and MongoDB, ASPIS incorporates robust database auto backup and recovery plans. The system underwent thorough testing and enhancements to meet standard software criteria, ensuring a reliable and error-free application. Evaluation of ASPIS involved thirty-two (32) user respondents based on the ISO 25010 software product quality model. The evaluation covered eight quality characteristics, including functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability. The system received a "Highly Acceptable" rating from the respondents, affirming its effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.--Author's Abstract |
