Summary, etc. Blind curves are notorious for bringing danger to motorists. However, some<br/>blind curves lack the necessary precautions to inform motorists. Even if some<br/>safety precautions are taken, they can be easily neglected due to the surroundings<br/>of the curve's vicinity. The researchers developed an automated system that<br/>detects the speed of the incoming vehicle and gives the necessary warning signs<br/>to help mitigate the accident. The system consists of four posts scattered in the<br/>vicinity. The posts consist of two (2) initial and two (2) main posts with different<br/>equipment and functions. Each post has a Lidar infrared sensor that detects the<br/>vehicle's speed. The information is then processed by the microcontroller, which<br/>decides what necessary precautions would be displayed by the LED board<br/>attached to the two main posts. The system is tested first in a controlled setting<br/>wherein the researchers simulate road scenarios, and the actual test is done with<br/>vehicles traversing the project deployment area.
