Summary, etc. The study focused on the comparison of the efficiency of the dyes that<br/>were used in the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell. DSSCs primarily consist of ITO<br/>coated conductive glass, dye, electrolytes, photo anode and counter electrode.<br/>Natural dye is its main component for light absorption. This study utilized leaves<br/>that have chlorophyll and anthocyanin and considered pigments from sample (a)<br/>pineapple crown leaves, (b) Aratiles leaves and (c) purple potato leaves due to<br/>its abundance in the Philippines. This research aims to maximize the advantage<br/>of the DSSC on energy harvesting under direct sunlight and diffused light<br/>conditions. The 5x5 panels were tested and showed that the sample a have the<br/>highest terminal voltage ranging from 300-500 mV. While, those with dyes from<br/>sample b have 100-220 mV and sample c have 120-300 mV. The researchers<br/>then made a solar grid panel with 24 pieces arranged in 4 columns and 6 rows of<br/>5x5 panels connected in series-parallel connection. The output voltage from<br/>sample a’s solar grid panel reached 3.05 V while the sample b and c leaves had<br/>3.7 and 6.6 mV, respectively. In conclusion, pineapple crown leaves, that came<br/>from the waste materials, can be utilized to produce energy based on the<br/>experimentation results. The researchers encourage the future researchers to<br/>include low power load to measure the generated voltage of the DSSC.
