The aim of the study titled "Development of a Pneumatic Die Press for Magnetic Sheet"<br/>was to address the productivity challenges faced by souvenir makers when cutting magnetic<br/>sheets, which required strenuous manual labor. These makers often struggled with the<br/>labor-intensive process of cutting delicate refrigerator magnetic stickers, as they lacked<br/>efficient machines for the task. The developed machine, a pneumatic die press, offers a<br/>solution by enabling users to cut magnetic sheets into ATM card-sized pieces with minimal<br/>labor and in a short amount of time. The machine features a manual lever that connects to<br/>the main plates, allowing the machine to function. Its automatic mechanism is driven by a<br/>pneumatic system, utilizing a double-acting cylinder to lower the upper plate and meet the<br/>die plate. The system is supported by an air compressor. To evaluate the machine, a survey<br/>was conducted among 30 respondents, including experts in mechanical technology, die and<br/>mold, mechanical engineering technology students, and professionals from various sectors.<br/>The survey covered aspects such as workability, durability, functionality, aesthetics, safety,<br/>and economy of the machine. The overall mean rating received was 4.38, indicating a<br/>"Very Acceptable" descriptive rating. The data collected from the surveys highlighted the<br/>machine's usefulness and positive reception among mechanical engineering technology |
