The repercussions of open sewage and canals around the city, especially in the slums<br/>region here in Manila that includes floods, clogging, foul odor, and irrigation. Possible<br/>solutions are provided in the study, Development of Open Canal Waste Stopper and<br/>Collector. The purpose of this prototype is to gather trash from open canals, particularly<br/>the ones that frequently cause flooding and obstruction. Our prototype is also accessible<br/>to agricultural areas. With the addition of these characteristics, the prototype may now be<br/>used anywhere using stored energy through solar power. It features a connector at the<br/>back of the power inverter for an alternative power source, however it can only accept<br/>220V current. Everyone who has been familiar with our prototype has access to the user's<br/>manual. Thirty community members from a selected community are evaluated the open<br/>canal trash stopper and collector. The prototype received a descriptive rating of Very<br/>Acceptable and an overall mean rating of 4.37. The findings in the evaluation demonstrate<br/>that the prototype was flawlessly constructed and fulfilled its purpose as a waste stopper<br/>and collector for open canals; it is also usable on any farmlands with clogged grass. |
