Summary, etc. Increases in the production of building materials also contribute to an increase in<br/>greenhouse gas emissions and the depletion of natural resources. The development of<br/>useful composite materials out of agricultural waste has emerged as a desirable option in<br/>recycling. Insulation is one of these materials, which is becoming increasingly important<br/>in the energy performance of buildings and, in turn, reducing the detrimental<br/>environmental effects of the built environment. In this paper, the agricultural waste of<br/>banana sheath was independently utilized in the production of insulation board, Isocyanate was used as a binder and was manufactured using 97:3 95:5 93:7, wherein the<br/>first variable is the proportion of the banana sheath, and the second is the proportion of<br/>Isocyanate in ratio with a board and a target density of 0.5 kg/cm3. The Insulation board<br/>was subjected to Thickness Swelling (TS) and Water Absorption Test (WA) to determine<br/>the Physical Properties, Internal Bond Test, and Face Screw Holding Test (FSHT) for the<br/>Mechanical Properties and Temperature Resistance to determine the resistance to heat<br/>flow in Thermal Properties. All of the tests conducted are inclined to the Philippines<br/>National Standard (PNS) requirements for general-purpose medium-density fiberboard. Results revealed that Insulation Board did not pass any of the standard requirements of<br/>PNS ISO 16895-2:2015 on both mechanical and physical property tests. For the thermal<br/>property, all of the mix ratios meet the standard of ASTM C518 Under the test method<br/>specifications that thermal resistance must be greater than 0.10 m2 K/W.
