Summary, etc. The development of compact plate beveller is designed to improve a safe and effective<br/>bevel edge preparation for welding specimen that is very important for a welder before<br/>performing the welding procedure. The researchers encountered a lot of problems in plate<br/>beveling due to the lack of a proper tool for plate beveling which leaves us to using portable<br/>grinders that produces uneven angles on the faying surface of the beveled plate. The<br/>prototype is designed to edge prepare the metal plate by beveling it faster and ensuring the<br/>precise angle of the bevel required. The prototype is designed to help students, welders,<br/>and welding practitioners to lessen the time and exerted effort in beveling the plate. The<br/>prototype consists of four major parts such as the three-c shape base metal connected to<br/>each other, a precision mill cutter a power machine bearing, high tinsel screw, and a kill<br/>switch. The test result showed that the prototype meets all the expectation and scope and<br/>limitation of the prototype. The device and all test data were processed as expected in terms<br/>of functionality, efficiency, economy, safety aesthetic, the prototype was evaluating by<br/>twenty (20) evaluators, five from welding department and fifteen respondents from<br/>different machine and welding fabrication shops. With an overall mean of 4.49 a<br/>satisfactory that is highly acceptable the respondent or evaluators show that the compact<br/>plate beveller is working properly with safety feature and all the parts needed prices is<br/>downright affordable in the industrial market
