Summary, etc. The global health-threatening COVID-19 pandemic resulted in distance learning and a new<br/>normal setting for students, professors, and other employees. Germicidal lamps have<br/>proven to be an effective tool for disinfecting bacteria and viruses. The current method for<br/>disinfecting viruses and bacteria is liquid-based, which has limitations, particularly if the<br/>item to be disinfected is constructed from paper. The goal of this research is to develop a<br/>dry-based disinfection system that uses Ultraviolet Light integrated in an automated<br/>conveyor belt with sensors to kill microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. It is made<br/>up of three components: the conveyor belt, the UV box, and the control board. We used a<br/>12V DC motor and a photoelectric sensor on the conveyor belt, LCD display, an Arduino<br/>Uno, two buttons, an external potentiometer, a power switch, and a fuse on the control<br/>board. The UV light shows consistent dosage results after 5 trials of 3 seconds, 5 seconds,<br/>7 seconds, 9 seconds, and 10 seconds. For 3 seconds, the value is 25mJ/cm2, for 5 seconds,<br/>the value is 25mJ/cm2, for 7 seconds, the value is less than 50mJ/cm2 but greater than<br/>25mJ/cm2, for 9 seconds, the value is 50 mJ/cm2, and for 10 seconds, the value is 50<br/>mJ/cm2. We sampled 20 users to determine how well the system is accepted by its users<br/>and received an overall mean score of 4.54, corresponding to a 90.8% acceptability rate.<br/>The Virus Disinfection: UV Light Sterilizer System was engineered, designed, and<br/>validated to disinfect objects effectively, emitting a precisely safe 72.65 mJ/cm2 UVC<br/>dosage and obtaining an "Excellent" rating in usability, functionality, performance, and<br/>compatibility by evaluating it at the Technological University of the Philippines.
