| Summary, etc. | This project is an innovative solution developed to enhance TUP's key management and<br/>security: The Smart Key Locker Security System. The project will use a holistic system<br/>that includes hardware and software components to deal with issues such as misplacement<br/>of keys, unauthorized access, and ineffective tracking. The system provides an interface<br/>for users' authentication by utilizing various technologies, such as the NodeMCU<br/>ESP8266, solenoid lock, relay module, buck converter, 12-volt AC adapter, and a mobile<br/>application. Security is achieved by implementing various features like sign-up and login<br/>procedures and real-time monitoring of key access. Audit trails for administrators and data<br/>logging functions further enhance the system by documenting users' activities. The<br/>evaluation result shows that the project Key Locker Security System is reliable, with an<br/>overall result of 4.74, which is highly acceptable. The project has been used continuously<br/>for (24) hours without encountering any adverse results. The said feature provides ease in<br/>identifying suspicious activities,such as illegal attempts to enter the locker and problems<br/>with the system. Accessibility in cases of an electronic system failure is further ensured<br/>through manual override devices such as key cylinders. The Smart Key Locker Security<br/>System reduces risks. It increases responsibility by using a combination of digital and<br/>physical security mechanisms to ensure that access to the keys is granted only to an<br/>authorized person.<br/><br/>Keywords: Smart Key Locker, Key misplacement, Audit trail, NodeMCU ESP8266 |
