| Summary, etc. |
The rapid advancement of information technology has revolutionized financial transactions, with
e-wallets emerging as a prominent alternative to traditional payment methods. Understanding the
factors influencing this shift is crucial for enhancing digital financial solutions tailored to student
needs. This study aims to evaluate the convenience of e-wallets as a payment method among
College of Liberal Arts students at the Technological University of the Philippines Manila
Campus. Specifically, it seeks to assess user satisfaction, analyze usage trends, identify social
influences, and recognize obstacles that impact e-wallet adoption. A quantitative research
approach was employed, utilizing a descriptive non-experimental design. Data was collected
through structured surveys administered to a purposive sample of 260 students across various
academic levels. Statistical analyses, including correlation tests, were conducted to examine
relationships between variables. Findings indicate that e-wallets are highly perceived as
convenient and user-friendly, with G-Cash being the most preferred application. Social factors
significantly influence e-wallet usage, with family support, social media engagement, and
educational programs playing pivotal roles. However, technical issues such as authentication
problems and app stability challenges remain notable barriers to optimal user experience. E-wallets
substantially enhance financial management and transaction efficiency among students, driven by
positive social influences and the inherent convenience of digital payments. Nevertheless,
technical reliability and robust customer support are essential to sustain and expand e-wallet
adoption. Educational institutions should integrate financial technology education into curricula to
enhance financial literacy. Future research should explore security enhancements and the impact
of financial literacy on e-wallet usage to continuously refine digital payment solutions.

Keywords: E-wallet, Social Factors, Convenience, Financial Management, Technical Issue,
Digital Payments. |
