Monitoring student performance is an essential process in order to ensure that the student<br/>is learning effectively. However, most parents have hard time monitoring their children<br/>performance due to various root causes such as not having enough time, lack of tools and<br/>resources. There are several methods used to monitor student performance which are<br/>equipped with GPS, Artificial intelligence, and biometrics. However, those systems are<br/>limited with communication features, biometric methods, and inaccessibility. This project<br/>study aims to design, develop, test, and evaluate a student record monitoring system using<br/>QR code, microcontrollers, SMS module, web application and implemented using<br/>waterfall methodology. Test result show that there is no significant difference on the<br/>timeliness of the 5 modules (F(4,195)=42.617; P=<.001). Meanwhile there is also no<br/>significant difference in the timeliness of the two sim card networks tested (F(3,16)=1.171;<br/>P=.352). The testing results show that the web system demonstrates great responsiveness<br/>as all pages load reliably. Additionally, both Globe and Smart networks have the same<br/>speed when it comes to receiving text messages. Furthermore, the respondents evaluated<br/>the system compound of 12 teachers in different schools. This project study is aligned with<br/>the UN-SDG on quality education. |
