| Summary, etc. |
This study aims to develop and evaluate mock-up training equipment for split-type air-
conditioning systems, incorporating interlocking control mechanisms to enhance HVAC

trainees' and technicians' training and troubleshooting skills. The prototype was an
Innovative machine that had minimal operating and maintenance expenses and a sufficient
rate of temperature and pressure output to produce. The prototype employing (2) motors to
test underwent rigorous trials, with an average temperature for the evaporator fan motor of
22°C and pressure averaging 64/267psi, indicating an ideal room temperature and standing
pressure. The temperature for the condenser fan motor with a temperature averaging 33.81
°C and for pressure is 64/268 psi, indicating a good range value. The prototype showcases
efficiency in cooling the indoor unit intended to enhance temperature regulation in a space
with an external wall. It is also efficient in the outdoor unit for transferring and preventing
the compressor from overheating by transferring heat from the refrigerant system into
external air. The study involved fifty (50) respondents in the community, trainees, and
technicians in the HVAC field. It evaluated the prototype was evaluated in terms of
functionality, workability, durability, aesthetics, safety, and economy. The data acquired,
gathered, and reviewed proved that the prototype is considered very good according to a
descriptive rating scale, which has a total of 4.33 overall mean. The result suggests its
potential to improve and Improve trainees' knowledge and skills technicians in Lopez,
Quezon. The findings position the prototype as a valuable innovation in the field, with
significant advantages over traditional split-type air-conditioning.

Keywords: Air-conditioning, Condenser fan motor, Interlocking control, Evaporator fan
motor |
