| Summary, etc. |
Learning is a complex process, it takes time and effort for someone to understand fully a
single module and it also depends on his learning comprehension level. Though learning
is a fun and enjoyable process of a life a human being, sometimes it can be refined by
using instructional materials such as visual aids, videos, manual, textbooks and
PowerPoint presentations. To solve the problem of giving such a huge amount of time of
understanding a module, augmented die reality was conceptualized and develop to ease
the burden of students on how they are going to understand how a progressive die works.
It will improve and enhance their capability on understanding what is the purpose and
significance of this study. With the use of actual progressive die as instructional material,
it was created to become a basis of our projection of 3D view of parts and functions of
progressive die using augmented reality technology. Test results shows that the students
prefer the application rather than traditional way of learning of the die course. It was
conducted on students who are taking the die course. The hardware was evaluated using
the criteria of functionality, workability, durability, safety, aesthetics and economy. The
results of the evaluation of the hardware with an overall mean of 4.49 with a descriptive
rating of “Very acceptable” On the other hand, software was evaluated to determine its
acceptability in terms of function sustainability, performance efficiency, compatibility,
usability, reliability, security, maintainability and portability. The evaluators are
composed of five professionals and twenty five students. Based on the results, it obtains
an overall mean of 4.57, which has an equivalent descriptive rating of “Highly
Acceptable.” The application runs smoothly on any android device using different
version of android. This proves that the mobile application improves the comprehension
level and understanding of students. |
