Summary, etc. Farming remains a vital part of the Philippine economy, yet many farmers, particularly in<br/>rural areas, rely on labor-intensive and imprecise manual sowing methods. To address these<br/>challenges, the researchers developed an automated seed sowing machine with an<br/>integrated water sprinkler system, real-time monitoring via an ESP32 Wi-Fi module, and<br/>remote-control functionality powered by solar energy. This system aims to enhance<br/>precision, reduce labor demands, and increase efficiency in small- to medium-scale<br/>farming operations. The researchers employed a prototyping approach to design, develop,<br/>and test the system, comparing its performance to traditional sowing methods using a<br/>paired t-test. The system was evaluated based on ISO 25010:2011 standards in terms of<br/>Usability, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Portability, and Reliability. Results showed that the<br/>automated system significantly outperformed manual methods in terms of planting<br/>precision and timeliness, enhancing planting speed while reducing resource wastage.<br/>Respondents rated the system as "excellent" across all evaluation criteria, with an overall<br/>assessment score of x̅=4.85. This innovation supports farmers by modernizing agricultural<br/>practices and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) 2<br/>(Zero Hunger) and UN SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). It contributes<br/>to sustainable food production, improved resource management, and enhanced agricultural<br/>productivity, benefiting local farming communities and addressing global challenges in<br/>sustainable agriculture.
