The lack of proper training in color theory among amateurs and professionals in the graphic<br/>design industry often results in inconsistent designs across platforms, emphasizing the need<br/>for tools that address color theory and effective design communication. This study<br/>introduces Hue've Got Mail, a carefully designed offline Android mobile game that equips<br/>graphic designers with fundamental and specific knowledge of color theory in graphic<br/>design. Built using React Native and Android SDK and designs created using Adobe<br/>Illustrator and Photoshop, the game features two progress maps, each offering distinct<br/>gameplay mechanics and three unique levels. Performance testing on two Android devices<br/>with different Android OS, showed an average installation, loading, and responsiveness<br/>time of 8.16 s for an older OS and 4.16 s for a newer OS, reflecting a 65.93% difference,<br/>this result shows that Hue've Got Mail performs better on mobile phones with newer<br/>Android version. The game achieved an overall mean score of 4.44 in the ISO 25010<br/>evaluation matrix, indicating a highly acceptable descriptive rating. These results<br/>demonstrate that Hue've Got Mail is an effective tool for imparting fundamental knowledge<br/>of color theory in graphic design. |
