This study centered in developing a web-based Barangay Management and Information<br/>System for Barangay 256 in Tondo, Manila equipped with SMS Notification. It was<br/>undertaken to address the reliance of manual and paper-based of overall baranagay<br/>operations in the baranagay. The project aimed to create a centralized platform to enhance<br/>the efficiency of the barangay administration and service delivery. The system integrates<br/>various functions, including record management, document requesing, lending services,<br/>inventory tracking, blotter and complaints. It supports three distinct user roles—<br/>Administrator, Barangay Staff, and Resident—each with specific access and previliges to<br/>maintain security and role-based functionality. Administrator oversee the entire system,<br/>Barangay Staff are provided with limited administrative capabilities, and the Resident can<br/>requesr documents, track service statuses, submit complaints, and stay informed through<br/>barangay announcements. The system is designed for accessibility across desktop and<br/>mobile devices enhances convenience for users. Upon completion, the system was<br/>subjected to evaluation where it achieved a grand weighted mean of 3.63, described as<br/>‘Highly Acceptable’. It was successfully deployed, demonstrating its potential to<br/>significantly streamline barangay processes, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate<br/>more organized and accessible information management for barangay officials and<br/>constituents. |
