Summary, etc. A tropical country, the Philippines, faces the growing impacts of global warming,<br/>including rising temperatures, frequent floods and typhoons, and shifting weather patterns. As a<br/>result, the demand for energy-intensive cooling systems increases. One potential solution is to<br/>utilize thermal efficiency strategies, such as using wood with low thermal conductivity. It is<br/>known for its natural high heat insulating capacity due to air pockets within its cellular structure.<br/>However, the increasing demand for wood leads to deforestation and environmental degradation.<br/>In Paete, Laguna, a town renowned for its woodcarving industry, sawdust is a common<br/>byproduct that often goes to waste. This study addresses the problem by designing and<br/>fabricating a machine that transforms sawdust into thermal insulation panels, offering a<br/>sustainable and practical solution to both waste management and energy efficiency. The machine,<br/>capable of producing insulation panels with sawdust and wood glue, can help reduce the<br/>consumption of raw timber and mitigate global warming. The research assesses the thermal<br/>properties of these panels, compares their effectiveness to that of traditional materials, and<br/>explores the economic viability of producing and using these panels in both domestic and<br/>commercial buildings. This approach not only promotes energy efficiency but also creates<br/>potential new economic opportunities for the local community, creating a circular approach to<br/>waste and resource management. The project aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon<br/>footprints and conserve forests. By reusing sawdust, the study supports environmental<br/>conservation and promotes sustainable development, contributing to the broader fight against<br/>climate change.
