This study aims to evaluate "WebSync," a web-based task management<br/>tool designed to enhance collaborative problem-solving (ColPS) skills<br/>among students in the BSIE-ICT and BTVTED-COMPRO & EST programs at<br/>the Technological University of the Philippines. The purpose of this<br/>research is to address the challenges of collaboration in group coding<br/>projects and provide insights into improving task coordination and team<br/>communication.<br/>A mixed-method design (Qual-Quan) within the framework of<br/>design-based research was employed. The study involved 169<br/>students, with data collected through interviews and survey<br/>questionnaires based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).<br/>This methodological approach enabled a comprehensive analysis of<br/>both qualitative and quantitative data.<br/><br/>Findings revealed that communication, task delegation, and real-<br/>time collaboration are the primary challenges faced in group coding<br/><br/>projects. WebSync was rated as “moderately acceptable,” showing<br/>strengths in task coordination and team communication. However,<br/>areas needing improvement were identified, including device<br/>compatibility and cross-platform functionality. Furthermore, age<br/>differences significantly influenced students’ perceptions of the tool. |
