The Pinta Kamiseta study revealed the value of both traditional and modern approaches to art. It aimed to educate the younger generation on how earlier artistic styles influenced and sustained local and contemporary artists. Through a clear process and supporting evidence, it encouraged students to explore their creativity and pursue their passion for art. This research also addressed the challenges faced by elementary pupils in art education and provided them with platforms for their creative expression. A workshop was conducted at De Castro Elementary School, where students explored their artistic potential by designing personalized t-shirts. Social media was used to showcase the students’ progress, outputs, and project activities. A 2D animation was produced to highlight the importance of creativity in today’s context. To support continued learning, a printed booklet of art modules was distributed to teachers in the partner school. An online version was also published on Facebook following the release of the student’ t-shirt designs. The project increased awareness and engagement among participants, viewers, and the broader community through a multiplatform strategy. It benefited both the students and the residents of Barangay Sta. Lucia and contributed to the growth of the local creative sector. |
