The study “Aglioreza: A Security Kiosk at TUP-M Lobby Incorporating<br/>Bio--composite Components from Garlic Peels” explores the use of eco-friendly<br/>materials in creating a functional security kiosk for the TUP-Manila lobby. It<br/>focuses on turning garlic peels—normally agricultural waste—into bio--composite<br/>panels by combining them with resin for use in furnishing and structural<br/>applications.<br/><br/>Using an experimental-developmental approach, the research covers<br/>material formulation, fabrication, and mechanical testing, while the design<br/>process considers ergonomics, user convenience, security needs, and visual<br/>harmony with the campus environment. Through the survey, the developed<br/>product was able to achieve a weighted mean of 4.81, which is classified as<br/>‘Excellent’ through our modified rating based on the Likert scale.<br/><br/>Overall, Aglioreza demonstrates how bio-based materials can be applied<br/>to real-world industrial design and encourages further exploration of locally<br/>sourced agricultural byproducts. |
