Dissertation note: College of Engineering-- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Technological University of the Philippines, 2019 Abstract: Rice is one of the major agricultural crops and its production is very prominent in the Philippines. One of the most significant components in whole rice production is transplanting the palay seedlings to the prepared land in a precise amount of depth. A substantial range of activities such as research, hands-on interviews, problem and investigation analysis, conceptualization, and design phase are needed for the first phase of the study. The study encompasses the Design and Fabrication of a Mechanized Six-Row Transplanter for Washed- Root Type Palay Seedlings. The Mechanized Transplanting Machine is composed of a six-row planting mechanism to maximize both time and effort and it uses a six-and-a-half horsepower gasoline engine as its power source. The rows have fixed twenty centimeters spacings - which is the standard spacing for palay planting and can plant palay seedlings at a depth of seven centimeters. The foundation of the machine's design is the connection of chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys attached to the engine, wheels and planters. The Mechanized Six-Row Transplanter for Washed- Root Type Palay Seedlings can plant approximately seven columns in one revolution of the wheel assembly.--Author's Abstract
