Effective emergency management in stations starts with careful planning and preparation. This can be done by creating an emergency plan, conducting training and emergency response exercises, and performing regular response plan evaluations to assess their effectiveness. It ends with recovery; when all normal operations have been resumed, and hopefully, at the soonest possible time.
Finally, every personnel has a role and responsibility in ensuring that the station is prepared for emergencies. Therefore, they must periodically monitor their emergency equipment, check the emergency exits or routes if they are still accessible and free from hazards, and make sure that the normal railway operation could be resumed in the shortest time possible by being knowledgeable of their emergency plan.
