Abstract: The Study developed an android-based virtual panoramic world tour application using virtual reality. The objectives of this study are to create a computer generated virtual environment that allows the user to interact using the virtual reality headset; experience to travel around the whole world and to learn information about the chosen country: population, modes of transportation, people (cultures and traditions), and most tourist destinations with voice over about the tourist spots. The system was developed using Unity 3D, Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop. Thirty respondents composed of Computer Science students evaluated the program. Based on the results of the evaluation, the developed system gained an overall frequency score of 94.2%, with a descriptive rating of "Highly Acceptable".--Author's Abstract.
