Dissertation note: College of Science -- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Technological University of the Philippines, 2014. Abstract: This project aims at implementing an Electronic Parking Space Management System using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. This electronic management system will enhance the utilization of parking space and help users check the availability of the parking space. The project was implemented in following stages: (a) First stage consists of embedding the code into a tag and assigning a slot to a car. (b) Second stage is reading the data from the RFID tag to the microcontroller. (c) Third stage, the data is uploaded from microcontroller to the system. (d) Fourth stage is to keep track of status of the parking spaces. (e) Final stage, the database will collect the gathered data. The tools that were used in the development are RFID card, RFID reader, micro switch, software application and mini toy car. It was evaluated by 30 respondents composed of IT experts, students and faculty members. The evaluation instrument used to assess the performance of the system is the ISO 9126 with the following software quality indicators: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability. The overall mean is 3.76 which is equivalent to Very Acceptable in qualitative rating.--Author's Abstract.
