Abstract: "This study aimed to develop a Web-Based Timekeeping and Payroll System using Fingerprint Biometrics, designed for employees to manage attendance, access payslips, and record payroll information. The research focused on timekeeping, payroll and salary- related task. The methodology involved a comprehensive analysis of existing web-based programs, along with surveys and interviews involving employees, human resources personnel, and IT professionals. By assessing factors such as accessibility, reliability, sustainability, and control, the research aimed to provide valuable insights into the system's success and potential growth prospects. The findings of this research hope to contribute to the further advancement of record-keeping systems based on fingerprint biometrics. Emphasis was placed on the importance of robustsecurity features and user- friendliness for successful system implementation. Ultimately, the goal of this research was to enhance employee management technology by making significant contributions to the future development of payroll and timekeeping systems that rely on fingerprint biometrics. Test and evaluation results revealed that the deployed system is highly effective." -- Author's Abstract
