Dissertation note: College of Industrial Technology.-- Bachelor of Technology major in Tool & Die Engineering Technology: Technological University of the Philippines, 2024. Summary: Sunlight drying is a natural and most common household method in the Philippines to dry their casual clothes. With emerging technology, a tumble dryer is used to dry clothes. However, this method is not recommended when it comes to drying delicate and highly sensitive fabrics. This study focused on the conceptualization, design, fabrication, evaluation, test and results of a cabinet steam dryer for highly sensitive fabrics. The result of the study shows that the machine can dry up to 4 kilograms of dry clothes with an average time of 40 to 60 minutes. It was then evaluated by 20 respondents composed of professionals in the field of mechanical, electrical, electronics, and industrial. In terms of functionality, workability, durability, safety, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness. The evaluation resulted in an overall mean of 3.47, indicating an Acceptable descriptive rating. This suggests that the project meets its criteria. The prototype was proven to be functional. The study is limited to drying highly sensitive fabrics and cannot dry full-sized clothes because it was produced with a scaled model and not in full capacity. Keywords: cabinet steam dryer, highly sensitive fabrics, SS304 stainless steel, steam.

Sunlight drying is a natural and most common household method in the Philippines to dry
their casual clothes. With emerging technology, a tumble dryer is used to dry clothes.
However, this method is not recommended when it comes to drying delicate and highly
