This study aims to develop a prototype machine that will be more convenient and time
efficient than traditional taping, where a person tapes the air-conditioning pipe. Moreover,
the goal of this research is to find a simple and quick way to cover a pipe for air
conditioning and give a quick service for companies and homes. By showing the step- by
step procedure on creating the machine and the materials used while constructing it. The
system was developed using a dc motor and a power supply for electrical components
along with a solar panel that can regulate to keep batteries from overcharging. Test results
showed that the prototype machine is much more convenient and easier to use than just
doing it manually. Aside from that, this machine will be the first taping machine for pipe
installation in the Philippines. As a result, this will create a great contribution to country
Philippines, companies, and homes. To assess the durability, speed capabilities and
limitation of this machine the researcher conduct a survey testing which was evaluated by
30 evaluators composed of Mechanical Technology professors, professionals, and students
under Bachelor of Engineering Technology major in Mechanical Technology option in
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration- Manila using Polyethylene
taping machine quality model and was rated with an overall mean of 4.67 with a
descriptive rating of “Excellent.” This signifies that the system is useful to all students,
technicians, and faculty members. According to the respondents, the project's production
will be determined by the demand of society. Yet this machine will surely be a prefatory
for the demand of air-condition in the country due to the rapidly increasing temperature.
