The Development of a Multipurpose Transmission Lifter is a tool practical for auto-
mechanic workers, especially during transmission-related works. The tool serves its
multipurpose feature as it can carry the weight of different transmissions, manage the oil
drainage processes, and transport heavy loads from one place to another. The design has
five major parts; the frame of the platform, two modified scissor jacks, an oil drain pan, a
handlebar, and a trolley platform. It can be assembled or disassembled into a transmission
lifter or a trolley whenever needed. Its mechanism involves using an impact wrench and
one-half drive socket to adjust the lifter’s height manually depending on the desired height.
The tool can cover up to 250 kg of weight, manage up to 9 liters of oil, and lift from 45cm
to 55cm high. The tool’s capabilities complemented its target outcome, thus demonstrating
its functionality and practicality to auto-mechanic workers. The evaluation procedure was
conducted through Google Forms and interpreted the result as “Highly Acceptable”. The
multipurpose features of the project would be helpful for automotive shops, especially
bringing safety and convenience for auto-mechanic workers.
