Summary: The Online Library Services 1.1 was developed to provide a user-friendly app to ease the tasks of the librarians and library personnel. Also, for the library user to browse, access and view the books and other printed materials easily. The app can facilitate the reserve and claim book requests, and changing of passwords of end-users. It manages the records of books and other printed materials, as well as the records of library users, administrators, and schools. The system generates real-time reports. The app has a feature of backing - up and secure the records in the database, and lastly, it has a provision to be a stand-alone or web application. Through web, end-users can browse, check, place reservation of printed materials on other schools and borrow the printed materials. The app was developed using Adobe Photoshop for aesthetic of user interface, Visual Basic for graphical programming, JavaScript for client side data manipulation, MySQL for database, CSS for document presentation, WAMP for windows server, PHP for the application platform and HTML for website programming. The developed system was subjected to functionality and portability testing. Result shows that the system passed all the functional test cases . It also shows that system is portable as it can be accessed using different devices, different operating system and different web browsers. The performance of the app was evaluated by 193 respondents consisting of IT professionals, students, faculty-members, librarians and staff of the four pilot test schools- Florentino High School, Ramon Magsaysay High School, Manila Science High School, and Araullo High School. The evaluation instrument used is the ISO 9126 Software Quality Matrix and obtained a mean rating of 4.55, which is equivalent to an “Excellent” descriptive rating.
