The Development of Motorcycle Trailer for Motorcycle Towing aims to ensure that
motorcycles can be towed safely. The major goal of the research is to create a motorcycle
trailer that is specifically intended for towing bikes, making it easier for motorcycle owners
to transfer vehicles. The use of this trailer provides users with a convenient and safe means
of transporting motorcycles. The research revealed that a significant number of road
accidents are caused by the absence of such equipment, which can potentially lead to injury
or harm to other road users. The study aims to eliminate dangerous towing practices, such
as pulling a motorcycle with a rope or pushing it with the foot of another motorcycle and
provides protection for the motorcycle. The researchers aim to address the difficulties of
transporting immobile motorcycles. The maximum load capacity of the motorcycle trailer
is 150 kg, and it can carry motorcycles with engines smaller than 160 cc, which can be
towed by 125 cc motorcycles. The results show that the respondents (N=31) have positive
perceptions of the project. Functionality got the highest weighted mean of 4.76 (Excellent),
followed by Economy with a mean score of 4.74 (Excellent). Then the Durability got a
rating of 4.71 (Excellent). Meanwhile, Aesthetics got a weighted mean of 4.67 (Excellent),
and Safety got weighted mean score of 4.65 (Excellent). It proves the Development of a
Trailer Unit for Motorcycle Towing is highly acceptable with the overall mean of 4.70,
which was defined as “Excellent”, achieving all objectives, as stated.
