The developed project, Microcontroller Based Flood Alarm System with Annunciator
using Wireless Technology aims to provide an alarm and monitoring system that is
capable of annunciating different flood stages by using speaker through wireless
technology that transfers data to the microcontroller unit. To achieve this project, the
researchers used the Arduino Nano microcontroller, water level sensor, GSM module,
and speaker. It is made of 3mm clear acrylic sheet and other locally available products.
The series of test conducted attested that the prototype can annunciate the water level
through the speaker system. Twenty respondents composed of students, technicians, and
professionals in the fields of electronic and communications technology evaluated the
acceptability of the prototype in terms of functionality, workability, durability, safety,
aesthetics, economy, and safety. Based on the tabulated result, it garnered an overall
mean of 4.5 which is described as "Very Acceptable". This rating signifies that the
prototype is an innovative method of monitoring and annunciating the flood stage level
using the process of wireless technology.
