Summary: The study is to fabricate a prototype, the Artist ottoman is a space saving furniture that exceeds the number of functions compared to what is available in the market. It has four main function such as couch, bed, pull out table and compartment with added three features such as light fixtures, electronic hub and easel. The study adopting the existing instrument for prototype aims to prove its acceptability in terms of functionality, aesthetics, strength, safety and economy. The researcher opted to gather those who are expert in the industry, in the academe and those who will be potentially consumers of the ottoman. The furniture was conceptualized and fabricated for those who are living in small spaces. Selecting the right material was essential to set aesthetically pleasing vibe while achieving functionality and durability for the user. The result of the evaluation conducted on the prototype revealed that it have earned a very satisfactory rating coming from the stakeholders ( Industry experts, End users, Academic Experts) in terms of its functionality, aesthetics, strength, safety and economy. Putting it into quality control testing, it has received a pass remark from the FPRDI after undergoing the ANSI-BIFMA standard test. Overall rating, the Artist’s Ottoman A Space Saving Furniture was very satisfactory.
