Dissertation note: College of Industrial Technology .-- Bachelor of Engineering Technology major in Electronics Engineering Technology: Technological University of the Philippines, 2023. Summary: The study, "Development of Automatic Landslide Detection with SMS Notification Alert," aims to provide real-time early warning for potential landslides by utilizing SMS alerts, LED light indicators, and horn alarms. The system assists authorized individuals and residents in informing and receiving information about the level area status of soil moisture and movement and, more importantly, ensuring the safety of those who live in the area. The device was developed using an Arduino Mega 2560 and an Arduino UNO for controlling, handling, interfacing, running parallel programs, and multitasking two devices. With the use of significant components, the project was successfully developed. As a result of using a soil moisture sensor that measures the water flowing inside the soil, an LED light indicator will display the current level status of the area. The vibration sensor will measure soil movement based on a status level, and a horn alarm will sound if it reaches a higher level. The Global System Communication SIM800L (GSM) sent a text message containing information about soil moisture and movement status. The SD card saved the information about the time and date of the status level of the area. The two devices are powered by a solar panel, battery, and solar charge controller to prevent the battery from overcharging. The test result showed that the system could send SMS at each level using the GSM module. The project will be implemented when it finally reaches the soil moisture sensor and vibration sensor's three-level status (safe, warning, and danger). Keywords: SMS Notification, GSM module, Vibration Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor, Detection
