This study aims to focus on the development of a modular locker designed
to meet the goal of identifying the needs of the Graphics Department at the
Technological University of the Philippines - Manila. The innovative locker has
features that aims to enhance the organization and functionality for the
convenience of its users. Some of the key components included in the locker is an
integrated stool to add comfort during its use incorporated with a two - layer shoe
compartment that is efficient for storage organization, a hidden compartment, an
adjustable shelf which is flexible for a storage solution, a corkboard for pinning of
notes or reminders, and a keyholder to ensure the security of important keys.
The materials were studied and selected carefully during locker construction with
the final look desired, the durability and aesthetics of locker were also ensured as
it will have long usages in workspace area. The prototype design took guidance
from professionals working in the industry as well as end - users to make sure it
fulfills the primary need(s) or requirement for the Graphics Department, i.e.
bringing their art supplies and tools as well as their personal belongings whilst
remaining compact and organizational.
The locker focuses to streamline the storage of department faculty such that
it saves time and can also enhance productivity of the faculties. User - friendly
Features: In order to make convenience for not only to work more effectively but
also to create positive environment to collaborative more towards innovative ideas.
