The proper performance of handwashing reduces infection transmission because
preschool children frequently encounter transmissible diseases. The correct washing
technique along with sufficient time spent during handwashing poses challenges when
children under five must do it themselves. A solution has been developed through creating
an Interactive Hand Wash Machine for preschool children. Python programming controls
the interactions between users and components which run on the Raspberry Pi system
hardware platform. Children receiving assistance from the machine's friendly interface
alongside sensor detection and visual and audio guidance perform proper handwashing
tasks with both educational value and entertainment benefits. A performance evaluation of
the system uses ISO/IEC 25010 software quality model to examine functional
sustainability along with performance efficiency along with usability and reliability and
safety. Children improve their handwashing practices while becoming more interested in
hygiene education when using the interactive hand wash device.
