The study aims to develop a semi-automatic telescopic fruit picker with a display
system to address the challenges of picking fruits from high trees. It seeks to lower
the time and effort needed for the work, as well as hazards and accidents. It is made
up of a base that supports the telescopic pole to support its weight, a cutter that can
be controlled to cut a specific fruit from trees, an automatic telescopic pole that can
automatically extend and retract to the desired height, and transmitter and receiver
for the device's. The semi-automatic fruit picker with a display system also has the
A9 camera on the semi-automatic fruit picker with a display system that helps to
manipulate the telescopic for precise fruit picking. The semi-automatic telescopic
fruit picker with a display system underwent tests involving different tree height
and fruits. The tests measured the time taken to extend, cut and retract depending
on the height of the fruit. The problems that occurred were identified during testing,
and if the fruit is not damage was determined. Evaluated the battery life in terms of
charging and discharging time. The semi-automatic telescopic fruit picker with a
display system was evaluated by 34 respondents who are electricians, household
owners, and students who are adept in electrical and mechanical technology. The
overall evaluation result is 4.54 which has a descriptive meaning of “Excellent”.
